Malik has emerged as one of the most consistently engaging and versatile vocalist on the contemporary music scene. Born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. Malik studied piano when he was 7 years old at a local community center. Inspired, Malik soon found a love for the drums and wore out the seat of a chair and a number of phone books, before his father purchased a set of drums for him one Christmas. Self taught drummer and vocalist; Malik decided to fine tune his voice so he trained with a well known vocal teacher (Eddie Watson) in Boston and studied with him for a number of years.
